Sr. Mary Michael participated in the Annual Busy Students' Retreat at College Station recently. It's always rewarding and tiring -- always awesome meeting neat people that truly want to get closer to God and to improve their prayer lives! Thank you, Jesus!
This young man in the picture with her was in her 4th grade class a few years ago -- he's about to graduate from college this May! How time flies . . .

Texas A&M Bonfire Memorial in College Station
Each "doorway" is for one of the young person's that died in the bonfire callapse.
It is facing their hometown, and it has their picture and letters/poems, etc.
from and to each of them. Very Moving.

Catholic Schools Week 2012

Last week was Catholic Schools Week. We, as usual, were right in the middle of it. The top 2 pictures above are from Bishop Zurek coming for Mass at one of our schools. You can see the joy on his face to be with the children. He reminded us all of the privilege we have to work in this important ministry. He also thanked the Sisters for our constant support of the Catholic Schools in our diocese.

The middle pictures of the posters are from Sr. Mary Ana's religion class. The students drew pictures of priests and Sisters. These posters are cute!

Finally, on the bottom, find one of our dear friends painting on one of our walls. Hand-art on our walls is so much better than store-bought!

btw, we are paying close attention to the mess with HHS and the law affecting health care. This is an outrage -- if we do not stand up against this, then nothing will stop them from violating everyone's consciences. Get involved.
